If advocation to leave and cleave applies do I stand fraternally on this with them or bear with my wife's struggles. There are a lot of theological questions on "Corpus Christi" that are being ignored for the sake of submission. Isn't this something Luther requested the leadership in his day to look into?Anonymousnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-3874123597623259718.post-75843576723671703882008-07-06T19:40:00.000-05:002008-07-06T19:40:00.000-05:00From the link:"One misstep in the area of sexualit...From the link:

"One misstep in the area of sexuality can completely cut off the voice that we have to folks," said Brady"

Yeah and it certainly does not help tithes any either.

Funny how he is worried about their 'voice' but not their salvation or the victims.

It's like: Don't do it because of our reputation. Not because it is heinous sin or anything.

This was akin the reaction of the pastor at Prestonwood. Generally speaking I am finding that there are a lot of churches where they don't take the qualifications for deacons strict enough that is found in I Timothy though some are quick to point the verses on women in that same letter. This guy lied to Vines, he is not the victim. Vines should be appalled at the deceit and have more concern for the victims.Anonymousnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-3874123597623259718.post-88682053806456883872008-07-06T17:40:00.000-05:002008-07-06T17:40:00.000-05:00Yes, the admitted child molester Stephen Lee Edmon...Yes, the admitted child molester Stephen Lee Edmonds was a deacon at FBC-Jacksonville when former Southern Baptist president Jerry Vines was pastor there. Edmonds got a light sentence originally, and now he's asking to have the rest of his probation waived. It is not until the wounded become family that the others see that yes, there is something that not only needs to be done, but , must be done.
Please, I am begging that no one give up the fight , because the truth will win in the end and the end comes when you are smitten with the truth!
JohnAnonymousnoreply@blogger.com
